Imma Monsó

Imma Monsó published her first novel in 1996, No se sap mai, to great critical and public acclaim. The Spanish language version, Nunca se sabe, won the Tigre Juan Prize in 1997. Her second work, Com unes vacances, won the 1998 Prudenci Bertrana Prize and the Cavall Verd Prize, chosen by the Association of Writers in the Catalan Language as the best novel of 1998. Her third novel, Tot un caràcter (2001), consolidated her reputation as an author. She has published short story collections Millor que no m’ho expliquis (Ciutat de Barcelona Prize 2003) and Marxem, papà. Aquí no ens hi volen (2004). In 2006 she published Un home de paraula, an extraordinary work that fully deserved the Salambó and Terenci Moix prizes and the Maria Àngels Anglada prize for the year’s best novel en Catalan. In 2009 she published Una tempesta.
