Javier Arries (Madrid, 1963) studied Physical Sciences with a specialty in Earth and Cosmos Physics at the UCM; he currently works as a Computer Science professor. Since 1995 he has published books and articles in a number of magazines, including Año Cero, Enigmas, and Más Allá de la Ciencia. He is the author of Psychic Attack and Defense, The Strange Power of the Evil Eye, Shamans: The Lords of Fire, Vampires: Bestiary from Beyond the Grave, Cursed Objects, and Magic in Ancient Egypt.
