Santiago Vega Sombría has worked as an adult educator in prisons for twelve years, and is currently a secondary school teacher. He has a PhD in Contemporary History from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has published several works on Francoist repression. Vega Sombría presides over the Forum for Memory in Segovia, an association which recovers and promotes the memory of those repressed by the Franco regime.
