Matilde Gómez Frieiro graduated in Medicine and General Surgery from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1991. Since then, she she has trained continuously in the area of women’s health and for several years has been managing the Instagram account @dr.matildegomez where she shares gynecological information with a touch of humor. Specialist in menopause, she is accredited by the Spanish Association for the Study of Menopause (AEEM). She is also an academic expert in aesthetic and functional gynecology and women’s cosmetic genital surgery at the University of Barcelona. Since January 2009 she has been working as director of the Gabinete Médico Ginecológico (GAMEGIN), in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
