Isabel Sanchez got a degree in Law and then moved to Rome to study Philosophy and Theology. In 1995 she began working at the headquarters of Opus Dei and since 2010 has headed the council of women that advises the prelate on the governance of that Catholic institution. In this capacity, she has visited more than fifty countries, working closely with people on all five continents. In 2020, she published her first book, Mujeres brújula en un bosque de retos (North Star Women in a Forest of Challenges).
