Sylvia de Béjar is a writer whose book Tu sexo es tuyo (Your Sex Is Yours) is the best-selling work of its genre in Spain. For her work in raising awareness, in 2010 the Spanish Academy of Sexology and Sexual Medicine awarded her the National Academy Award for the Promotion of Sexual Health in the Media. Her professional career began at the newspaper La Vanguardia, where she worked for seventeen years, the last four coordinating the health and psychology issues of the “Magazine” supplement. She is also a Psychosexual Somatics® Practitioner, Certified Professional Sex Coach, Master Practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming, has training in mindfulness and strategic brief intervention, and is the author of Deseo (Desire).
